125A/150A/200A CHAdeMo DC Charging Connector

The CHAdeMO connector is a fast-charging system for battery electric vehicles and hybrid electric cars developed in 2010 by the CHAdeMO Association, which included major Japanese automakers and Tokyo Electric Power Company. The name "CHAdeMO" is an abbreviation of "CHArge de MOve," which translates to "charge for moving" or "how about a cup of tea?" in Japanese. It supports DC Fast Charging with power levels up to 62.5 kW in its first generation, 400 kW in its second generation, and aims for up to 900 kW in its third-generation ChaoJi specification, which also ensures backward compatibility with previous standards. The connector features a proprietary electrical design with 10 pins and supports Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G) integration, allowing vehicles to act as energy storage devices. While CHAdeMO remains popular in Japan, its market share has declined in other regions as the Combined Charging System (CCS) has become more prevalent, though the ChaoJi connector aims to address compatibility concerns by working with CCS and other standards.
